As a Senior Supply Chain Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of building and manifesting our capacity plan, operations, logistics optimization, network design, and analysis of operational efficiency.<br><br>In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Product and program teams in SCOT, Finance, Engineering and construction and more. You will utilize your analytical prowess to identify opportunities for operational improvements, implement scalable systems, and drive automation to enhance efficiency, with a particular focus on optimizing the physical flow and operations within the supply chain network. The ideal candidate will not only have strong analytical skills and operational acumen, they will also be able to present and visualize data in a succinct manner and craft concise and comprehensive verbal and written narratives to influence executive decisions.<br><br>Key job responsibilities<br><br><ul><li> Lead strategic initiatives related to network capacity within Amazon's various business units</li><li> Lead initiatives to optimize and manage the flow of inventory within the supply chain network</li><li> Balance capacity and demand, assess and improve the efficiency of distribution networks, warehouses, and logistics operations</li><li> Analyze and synthesize data to identify opportunities for enhancing customer experiences and operational efficiency in network capacity</li><li> Define metrics, develop program management mechanisms, and invent/simplify processes to drive decision-making in complex network capacity situations</li><li> Collaborate with stakeholders across different functions, influencing and facilitating agreements to achieve shared network capacity goals</li><li> Manage cross-functional network capacity initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to lean philosophy at scale and develop cadences to communicate progress to senior leaders</li><li> Own a portfolio of cross-functional programs related to network capacity, driving performance improvement and efficiency in project delivery</li><li> Identify and deliver operational improvement opportunities in network capacity, focusing on inventory management, logistics strategy, and transportation optimization</li><li> Monitor and optimize key network capacity metrics to ensure the smooth flow of goods or services through the supply chain network<br><br></li></ul><strong>About The Team<br><br></strong>The Global Capacity Planning team's mission is to plan and deliver the North America Customer fulfillment capacity to meet the demand of our customers at desired speed and quality while improving the long term cost structure of the network.
